Dalam forum crackberry beberapa kali muncul potongan potongan leaked application dari OS Blackberry 10.2, mulai dari Blackberry maps updates, camera updates dan facebook updates. Kali ini giliran BlackBerry Messenger 10.2.0.12 yang muncul beserta BBM Channels tanpa perlu menginstall secara terpisah (sebelumnya kita perlu menginstall BBM channel terpisah dari betazone).

sebagaimana diberitakan N4BB, mereka sudah mendapatkan kesempatan pertama untuk mencoba si Playbook 4G ini. Playbook yang akan bisa diisi dengan sim card ini dijadwalkan dirilis dalam kwartal ini akan tetapi belum ada tanggal pastinya.

Playbook 4G ini menggunakan  OS 2.0.1.354. N4BB menyatakan bahwa Playbook ini terasa lebih cepat (dengan prosesor baru 1,5GHz) dan juga dengan kemampuan NFC dan kemampuan untuk terhubung dengan jaringan nirkabel. sayangnya belum ada anda bahwa BBM tersendiri akan tersedia di device ini (OS ini??). info lainnya adalah Blackberry protect juga akan tersedia untuk device ini walaupun belum tersedia dalam OS saat ini.

Saya termasuk orang yang tidak suka untuk menerima Broadcast Message (BM)  di BBM dan seringkali merasa terganggu terutama untuk hal-hal yang tidak penting. Salah satu BM yang paling sering dilakukan oleh orang adalah BM cek kontak sesudah upgrade/downgrade OS atau upgrade aplikasi BBMnya. Orang melakukan BM sesudah upgrade/downgrade dengan tujuan supaya muncul pop-up re-invite atau delete.

Nah untungnya dengan BBM versi 6 sekarang kalau kita melakukan BM tes kontak, pop-up re-invite atau delete ini tidak akan muncul. sehingga sia-sia saja kita melakukan BM.  BBM versi 6 ini mengharuskan kita chat langsun dengan kontak kita untuk mendapatkan pop-up misalnya:

• D [chat masuk/BBM aktif]
• R [chat di baca]
• X warna merah [kontak BIS habis]
• Re-invite or Delete
• Centang [chat pending]

Banyak yang belum tahu perubahan fitur ini dan masih saja melakukan BM tes kontak akhirnya cuekin aja

RIM has rolled out the Blackberry Messenger v6.2.0.15 in the beta zone. release notes from RIM mentioned some enhancements in the latest BBM v6.2.0.15 that includes:

• Animated display pictures - More animated display pictures are now built into BBM. Change your picture to suit your mood.
• Change your name or message inline - You can quickly change your name or status message without leaving your contact list by clicking the text at the top of the screen. To exit inline editing, just scroll down. You can still access your profile screen by clicking your display picture.
• Streamlined voice notes - When your convenience key set to open BlackBerry Messenger, if you highlight a contact in BBM and press the convenience key, you can start recording a voice note. Once you’re done, pressing the convenience key again will send the voice note. Group chats. You can return to the default color at any time.

• BlackBerry Tag enhancements - Adding contacts has never been easier. If your BlackBerry smartphone supports NFC technology, you can turn on the Allow Automatic Invitations by Tapping option. Then, as long as you or someone else has BBM open, you can add each other as contacts by aligning the backs of your smartphones. This feature requires that you both have the latest version of BBM installed on smartphones that support NFC technology.
• Improved search - When typing the name of a contact or group, the search ignores special characters and emoticons to make it easier to find what you’re looking for.
• Resend a message  - If a message didn’t send (for example, if your smartphone was outside of a wireless coverage area), you can highlight the message and select Resend from the menu.
