Hampir semua orang sekarang memiliki akun di media sosial seperti facebook, twitter dan sebagainya. Cara mengakses media sosial ini bisa melalui komputer, smartphone seperti android, blackberry, iphone, windows mobile dan sebagainya. dengan sosial media kita bisa berkirim pesan dan berbagi status. Untuk mengakses lewat komputer, walaupun tidak punya komputer atau laptop di rumah, kita bisa dengan mudah mencari warnet.  Lain halnya dengan smartphone, tidak semua orang punya akses terhadap gadget-gadget tadi yang harganya cukup mahal. Bagaimana solusinya jika kita tidak bisa mengakses internet via komputer atau smartphone, sementara mau tetap eksis di sosial media.

Beberapa penyedia sosial media seperti facebook dan twitter sudah memberikan layanan untuk notifikasi dan juga mengupdate status melalui sms. Tentu saja syaratnya hanya memiliki pulsa yang cukup di nomor handphone kita. Bahkan beberapa operator selular di Indonesia juga sudah memberikan fasilitas dan penawaran khusus dengan kartu perdana pra-bayar. Jadi semakin mudah buat kita berinteraksi dengan teman-teman tanpa membuka melalui komputer.
Cara membuat Notifikasi SMS dari Twitter:

1. buka situs http://twitter.com kemudian buat akun baru, jika sudah punya akun twitter sebelumnya silahkan login
2. sesudah masuk, pilih setting –> mobile
3. Isi atau pilih yang sesuai pada kolom pilihan dan masukan no hp, lihat contoh gambar : 
4. sesudah selesai klik tombol “activate phone”
5. silahkan menikmati notifikasi twitter via sms

Cara membuat Notifikasi SMS Facebook:

1. Jika sudah memiliki akun facebook silahkan login, jika belum sign up untuk membuka akun baru
2. jika sudah login, pilih Account setting –> Mobile
3. masukkan nomor yang akan di daftarkan text message nya   
4. kirim sms ke facebook lewat handphone anda dengan cara ketikkan huruf “f” saja (tanpa tanda kutip “)   dan kirim ke 32665   
5. Facebook akan kirim notifikasi lewat SMS kemudian masukkan kodenya sesuai sms yang diterima  
6. untuk memastikan apakah facebook sms text message sudah diaktifkan buka lagi account setting-mobile lihat apakah nomor yang kita masukkan sudah terdaftar dan aktif. kita juga bisa menambahkan nomor lain yang juga ingin diaktifkan fitur text messagenya disini

Sepuluh hari yang lalu ada informasi bahwa akan ada solusi untuk meng-unlock Iphone4 dengan baseband 04.11.08 untuk device iOS 5.0 dan juga iOS 5.01.  R-SIM 4 perusahaan yang memproduksi SIM interposer seperti Gevey menyatakan bahwa dalam 10-15 hari mereka akan meluncurkan produknya ke pasaran yang di gadang akan bisa menjadi solusi bagi ribuan pengguna Iphone 4 yang terkunci di baseband 04.11.08.

Berdasarkan update terakhir mereka, mereka belum bisa menyelesaikan dan meluncurkan produk R-SIM4 untuk saat ini. Paling tidak mereka membutuhkan 1 minggu lagi untuk bisa menyelesaikan prosesnya karena kompleksitas dari baseband 04.11.08 ini. saat ini mereka mengklaim bahwa prosesnya sudah 50% dan butuh 1 minggu bahkan lebih untuk membuat terobosan dan improvement dalam program mereka. Mereka  juga meminta agar pengguna Iphone berhenti mengirimi mereka email, dan menunggu kabar terbaru dari facebook page, twitter atau cek langsung ke website resmi mereka.

How to:

Change wallpaper: choose any picture you like from your memory card or a shot from your blackberry camera and “set as wallpaper”

- Just run the #ShootnShare app, either via dedicated icon on the homescreen or simply press SPACE (you have to disable the dial from screen feature or universal search)
- Replace the My BlackBerry Screen text with your own
- Click on twitter and/or facebook button to authorize the app for the first time
- You can add some visual effects such as grayscale, negative, sephia and retro
- Click Save n Share button

Socialscope  (SS) is a fantastic all in one social networking application. You can post to your Twitter, Facebook, Flickr and Foursquare just in one click. according to the developer they will support BlackBerry, iPhone, Palm, Android, Windows Phone, and other device, however so far they only provide the app for BlackBerry.

The application is currently still  in beta version, and you need to request an invitation code that will give you access to download the apps and create you account. visit http://getsocialscope.com to request your invite code. Once your request granted, the developer will send you an email containing your invitation code and a link to download the apps to your device.

After installing the app, there are several issues that need to be checked:

1. Connection
SS support several connection type i.e. Auto, BES, BIS, TCP and Wifi depend on your data plan. if you are on BIS, ensure the connection is set to BIS not auto, otherwise you might be charge by your operator. SS work on full BIS data plan since it is using backberry browser service.

2. Spell Check
Spell Check options is active by default. those who are not used to it might find it ridiculous, since it will check words by words before you can post your tweet.
You can turn off the option from  menu: Setting – Advance – Spell Check before Sending – No.

3. Feedback
SocialScope is still in beta version and the developer wants us to send feedback, bugs etc. the form is very user friendly and just in one click your input will be sent directly to SS support. the more feedback you send you will be prioritized to receive their latest update before official release.

some shortcuts on SS (using QWERTY devices):

U/C: Update tweet/status
R: Reply Selected Entry
K: Reply All

S/F: Share/Forward tweet –> there are 3 options:  ReTweet, Quote (edited ReTweet), Email (share link Tweet via email).

D: Direct Message
P: Private Message
this option works when you activate more than one account i.e.  Facebook and Twitter. PM will be sent to selected account

L/O: Refresh

T: To Top of Timeline
B: To Bottom of Timeline
N: Move to next item

A: Add to list
V: Favoriting

G: Go to user
S: Go to search

Space Bar: Displaying the next  3 items and refresh the timeline
Shift+Space Bar: Displaying previous 3 items and  refresh timeline
